Tonight the American Music Awards are being aired, a star-studded event to be sure. That has got us thinking about all the celebs you might see around the Emerald City, and which Seattle area neighborhoods they call home.
Just down the street from Team Troy's office in Wallingford, you'll find the home of singer-songwriter Dave Matthews from the Dave Matthews Band. He lives in a rather unassuming Craftsman home typical of the neighborhood. Perhaps it's the small-town feel of Wallingford that he was after, or the convenience to downtown and the north side.
It wouldn't be Seattle without our punk rock history. A very popular destination is the former home of rocker, Kurt Cobain in Leschi. The home is a beautiful Cape Cod style house with soaring views of Lake Washington.
Macklemore, arguably one of Seattle's hottest artists at the moment, grew up in Capitol Hill and attended Garfield High School in the Central Area; this was the same high school attended by Quincy Jones, Bruce Lee, AND Jimi Hendrix! Capitol Hill is markedly different now than it was during Macklemore's time there. Today, it is one of Seattle's trendiest neighborhoods, particularly for young people. Teaming with cafes, foodie restaurants, and of course music venues, it's a fun and vibrant area of the city to be sure.
Of course you'll find other well-known names outside the music industry around town as well. TV star, Rainn Wilson calls West Seattle home. Perhaps he is drawn to the beach vibe and stunning Olympic Mountain views across the Sound. The nearby "Junction" is also a highlight of the neighborhood, with some of the city's best bakeries, sandwich shops, and bars. Plus, a quick hop to downtown by bridge or water taxi.
If you are looking for athletes, the Eastside is where you'll find quite a few big names, from Seahawks Quarterback, Russell Wilson in Bellevue, to Olympic soccer superstar, Hope Solo in Kirkland. The Eastside is not only known for exceptional neighborhoods and planned communities, but top-notch schools, outdoor activities, and high-end shopping.
TEAM TROY, we are a bunch of fanatics that happen to be really good in the Seattle real estate business. Sure we could exploit systems, alter perceptions, and make more money for the sake of having more, but that’s boring – everyone does that. We’ve come to realize that work should be about increasing our standard of giving, not our standard of living. What keeps us going is our daily fear of dropping dead while doing something useless. We continually aim to be better agents, better neighbors, better partners, better parents, and better people with the singular goal of making folks like you better off than you were before you met us.
Discover our 9 point difference:

"Troy and his team did a fantastic job throughout our listing and sales process. I would highly recommend him for anyone who truly expects and appreciates red carpet service for whatever your home sale circumstances may be. The moving truck he provides at move-out was truly a life saver. Thanks Team Troy."
