North Rose Hill has approximately 7,600 residents and has been ranked the #1 “best neighborhood” in Kirkland, Washington by StreetAdvisor.com. According to them, the area is “clean and green” has a lack of traffic and can be characterized for its peace and quiet. The neighborhood has “walk score” of 44 and “transit score” of 35 from WalkScore.com who says that most errands will require the use of a car although some public transportation is available as well.



Area Vibes gives North Rose Hill gives the area a “livability” score of 77 which includes an A+ score for amenities, A+ score for crime, A score for housing, B score for weather, B score for education and a B score for employment. The only downside is that are received an “F” for the cost of living.


GreatSchools.com ranks the Rose Hill Elementary School a rating of 8* and the middle school a rating of 9* which are above average. (*out of 10) The neighborhood is home to the North Rose Hill Woodland Park (9930 124th Avenue NE) which features a beautiful children’s playground, pathway, an open lawn area, picnic tables, interpretive displays, boardwalks, wetland, forested areas and a picnic shelter.


The Juanita Friday Market is nearby (9703 NE Juanita Drive, 98034) and placed nicely on the shores of Lake Washington. The market is open from June to September from 3:00-7:00 p.m. each Friday. Here you’ll find a nice variety of fresh and delicious local produce, flowers, hot prepared meals, live music, handmade crafts and other products all created and produced in Washington State.
